Time Periods covered 2nd semester that will be covered on your final:
The Middle Ages
The Renaissance and the Reformation
The Golden Age of England/the Age of Kings
The Enlightenment
The French Revolution, Napoleon’s France (considering I’ve tested you on the previous subjects, the final will focus a little more on this subject than the previous)
There will be a general timeline of this historical period—you will be given a series of events, and you’ll need to plug them in order.
The goal of your studies is more concepts than dates, names, etc. See if you can answer the following questions:
1. What was the structure of society in the Middle Ages, and what was the drawbacks and benefits of feudalism?
2. What role did the established Church have in Europe until the Reformation?
3. What caused the Renaissance, what caused the Reformation?
4. What impact did the Renaissance and the Reformation have on Europe/on religion? (Again, think concepts!)
5. What was the thought on how to rule among monarchs in the age of Kings? How was England different from other nations during this time?
6. What was the Enlightenment, and what were its causes?
7. What long-lasting effects did the Enlightenment have?
8. What were the causes of the French Revolution? What were the stages of the Revolution, and how were these stages reached?
