1. You will receive 10 points per hour you volunteered, with a maximum of 200 points.
2. You will need all logs of hours that you volunteered (including what you handed in already to me, which I hopefully returned to you and you hopefully kept track of!)
These logs need to be signed by at least a parent, but for more points, also an authorized persons from the place where you volunteered.
3. Write a brief summary (1 page) of the organization you volunteered with. Just summarize this part of your research paper.
4. Write a brief description (1-2 pages) of the work you did for this organization
5. Interview a person from the organization, ask them about the history, how they came to work there, what they like about what the organization accomplishes, and so forth. Write up a summary of this interview.
6. Extra credit: Pictures of your organization and you volunteering. NOT off their web site--
Remember that finally you will need to present this to the class. Keynote or posterboard is fine, and pictures of the organization off their web site is ok with me here. Make sure you have handouts and a well prepared talk of what social justice need this volunteering could be considered meeting, or how else it is helpful.
